How To Use New FamilySearch Correctly

by George W. Scott, New FamilySearch Instructor, Lindon UT Family History Center
Any New FamilySearch patron is welcome to print this manual, free of charge.   It is also available at Stevenson's in Provo for $3.50.

It can be used as a self-study guide.  Or, it can be used as a teacher's and student's manual in a New FamilySearch class.

It will be updated whenever there is a significant revision in New FamilySearch.  It has just been updated; the next update will probably be in March.  (At the bottom of this page, the pages that have changed are identified, so you won't have to reprint the entire manual.)  If you want to be emailed when a major update is released, send an email to GeorgeSonOfCarl@aol.com with the title Add Me To The Update Distribution List.

The manual is 74 pages in length, in PDF format.  To view it, just click the manual.pdf link below.  You can print it by clicking the printer icon that will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the PDF screen.  Or, you can save it to your hard drive (or to a diskette or flashdrive) by clicking the Save icon in the upper left-hand corner of the PDF screen, so you can take it to a copy service to print.

VIDEO TUTORIAL:  I am currently preparing an 18-segment, 6-hour video tutorial. Teachers who lack internet access in their meetinghouse will be able to use it to teach New FamilySearch during Sunday School.  It will be available for free viewing and free downloading in mid-January from this website.
