Any New FamilySearch patron is welcome to print this manual, free of charge. It is also available at Stevenson's in Provo for $4.25. (Call 1-800-374-7296 x2.)
It can be used as a self-study guide. Or, it can be used as a teacher's and student's manual in a New FamilySearch class.
It will be updated whenever there is a significant revision in New FamilySearch, possibly monthly. It was last updated on 25 June 2011; this was a major revision, so you should print all pages.
If you want to be emailed when a major update is released, send an email to GeorgeSonOfCarl@aol.com with the title Add Me To The Update Distribution List.
The manual is 81 pages, including 3 un-numbered pages at the front. It is in PDF format. To view it, just scroll down and click the blue manual.pdf link below. You can print it by clicking the printer icon that will appear in the upper left-hand corner of the PDF screen. Or, you can save it to your hard drive (or to a diskette or flashdrive) by clicking the Save icon in the upper left-hand corner of the PDF screen, so you can take it to a copy service to print.
VIDEO TUTORIAL: I am currently preparing an 18-segment, 6-hour video tutorial. Teachers who lack internet access in their meetinghouse will be able to use it to teach New FamilySearch during Sunday School. The first segments should be available for free viewing and free downloading in September 2011 from this website.
I apologize for the huge delay in updating the manual and creating the video tutorial. I was giving 24/7 care to my wife for 9 months; then after her decease, mom had a massive stroke. But I will keep things updated better from now on.
